Tina Neuman is the Office Manager and Senior Intellectual Property Paralegal at Oliver & Grimsley. Tina’s practice areas include trademarks, copyrights, patents, and general corporate transactional matters.
Tina has ten years of experience in the specific areas of trademarks, patents and copyrights. She assists lawyers with all phases of U.S. and international trademark prosecution, from clearance searches through post-registration maintenance, and including assisting lawyers with opposition and cancellation proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. Tina also assists attorneys with all phases of U.S. and international patent prosecution, and with the preparation and filing of copyright applications with the U.S. Copyright Office. Tina’s depth of experience is beneficial to clients of Oliver & Grimsley in keeping down costs associated with the research, filing, and drafting of documents that are essential to our clients’ intellectual property protection.
In addition to assisting lawyers with the examination/prosecution of trademarks and patents, Tina also assists lawyers with trademark and copyright protection matters, including research on possible infringers, drafting trademark infringement cease and desist letters for lawyer review, drafting copyright infringement cease and desist letters and takedown notices for lawyers to review, and handling matters (with lawyer oversight) through the UDRP (Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy) and under the Anticybersquatting Consumer Protection Act. Tina also has experience in the area of corporate transactional law, including assisting lawyers in the formation of companies and keeping businesses in good standing, lien and judgment services, and UCC filings.
Prior to joining Oliver & Grimsley, Tina was a paralegal at the law firm of Bowie & Jensen, LLC for seven years, focusing on trademarks, patents, copyrights, and business transactional matters. Prior to Bowie & Jensen, Tina was a paralegal at the law firm of Nils H. Ljungman & Associates in Greensburg, PA, focusing on trademark and patent prosecution.
In her spare time, Tina enjoys reading, running and exercising, and spending time with her husband, son and two Maltese pups. Tina and her husband are volunteer dog foster parents for United Maltese Rescue, from which they adopted one of their two dogs.
Karri Moorehead is an Intellectual Property Paralegal at Oliver & Grimsley. Karri’s practice areas include trademarks, copyrights, and patents. Karri works with Tina Neuman (Office Manager and Senior Intellectual Property Paralegal) and assists with all phases of U.S. and international trademark prosecution, from clearance searches through post- registration maintenance.
Prior to joining Oliver & Grimsley, Karri attended Stevenson University and received a Bachelor of Science in Paralegal Studies (ABA Accredited). While attending Stevenson University, Karri was a member of the Stevenson University Legal Society. She also participated in the Family Law and Bankruptcy Law Clinics that the program offered and completed an internship at the Community Legal Aid Society, Inc.
